Bitty Bao Love
One of the things that we didn’t anticipate when we started on our bookmaking journey was how many wonderful people from all over the world we would meet through our social media platforms. We feel so blessed that so many people, from all parts of the globe, have reached out, shown support and love, and shared in our journey. All of you make every little bit of work so worth it!

“Congratulations, Bitty Bao!! And what beautiful work. 😍 For me, 2018 (I was 32 yrs old) was the first time in my life where I got to read a children’s book that had English words and featured Korean-American characters. The mom was wearing slippers in the house and there were bean sprouts and tofu and a rice cooker in her kitchen. Grandma was sitting at the table helping to chop veggies. I teared up looking at those pictures. I’m so happy this kind of content will be available for developing bilingual learners (both big and small!)”

“OMG~ my kids and I totally LOVE the Bitty Bao gift pack!!! When it arrived and my kids opened it, they were like "Awww... sooo cute and the food looks soooo yummy!!!" I think the cuteness of the books and the merchandise made a very good first impression for my kids, and that is so important if I want them to continue exploring the books and using the products, I mean we need to catch their attention first right?! Well, my girls don't speak Chinese that much at home, that's why I wanted to try Bitty Bao bilingual books to see if I can at least get them to be interested in speaking Chinese on their own, since I don't like to push them too much. The designs and contents of the books are just so adorable and very functional that after reading the books "Counting with Dim Sum" and "The Colors of Snow Ice", my girls started doing role plays where my 6-year-old pretended she was the waitress at a Chinese restaurant, and my 8-year-old and I were the customers. We read through the "menu" and my younger daughter took our orders, all mostly in Chinese, which was very impressive because they were actually speaking Chinese on their own!!! That just made me very happy : ) Besides the books, I also like their shirts, what a great choice of color!! Their bag is very sturdy too, a big plus for me because I want to use it for my kids library books, and the bag seems capable of holding some weights! Just remember don't put the bag in the dryer after washing, it will shrink! Well, since the Bitty Bao team has such great creativity and designs, not only do I wish to see more bilingual kid/baby books, it would also be nice to see some kids stationaries like notebook. pencil box, sticky notes, lunch box, backpack, etc. Looking forward to seeing more creativities by this talented team : ) “

“As an American-born Taiwanese mom, teaching my kids mandarin has been a huge priority. I want them to know their roots, be proud of their heritage but do it in an organic way that is palatable and enjoyable. I spent many nights fumbling my way through English books trying to translate them into traditional Mandarin. I love the Bitty Bao series - the illustrations are adorable and my kids instantly gravitate to the graphics. The combination of romanization, zhu ying and english take any guess work out of comprehension and translation. Bitty Bao fills a void in the book-market for those of us trying to find a fun way to teach our kids. Thank you for creating this series for us ABC moms!! Looking forward to your next drop!”
